Home Ownership

Finally home owners! It's a lot of work but has been so worth it. I really enjoy having a place that I can call my own. Kelly and I can put our own spin on things, although admittedly it's going to take some time for that to truly happen. Can't wait to see how things shape up over the coming years.

Closing Date

Getting closer to our closing date. I can't wait to have a set of keys in my hand tomorrow afternoon. I can't wait to be able to grill out again.

House Hunting

Buying a house has been the single most terrifying yet gratifying adventure that I've undertaken thus far in my life. The journey was filled with ups and downs ( more downs than ups ), however I believe the end result will be much sweeter since there have been a few bumps and bruises. I'm excited by the prospect of being able to mow my own lawn and work with my fiance on landscaping and interior design projects ( I'm sure I'll tire of those quickly..maybe not ).

I've also started a new chapter in my professional life. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Tippmann Group and can't say enough good things about the time I spent there and the experiences that I had. I learned a ton while working as a Systems Administrator on their JDA ( formerly Red Prairie ) systems.

Clicky...

I'm typing this post from my awesome new IBM Model M keyboard. Well known for their signature "click" as you press each key. This is due to the fact that they are actually manufactured using springs and bolts, rather than pieces of rubber that contact a sensor. This is the real deal, albeit a little louder than the silent keyboards that we have all become accustomed to.

Snow!

We just had the first actual snow accumlation of the year! It's currently 25* outside and still coming down. Although it made for a frustrating and slippery walk to work today, it was a nice change from the rain and cold that we were having.

CablesGoingNowhere

Site is still offline with no clear date of when I'll actually install some content. It's currently serving as a test bed for HTML5 and Joomla side projects I have going on.
